Liking and voting on ideas
To like or vote for an idea, open it and click Like or Vote. Click the button again to take your reaction back. Each person can react once per idea, and you can react to your own idea.
Who can do this: members who can see the idea. Guests and people visiting through a share link can’t react.
Like or vote for an idea
- Open the idea from the collection.
- Click Like (thumbs-up icon) or Vote (ballot icon). The button changes to Liked or Voted and the count goes up by one.
- To take it back, click Liked or Voted again.
The collection managers decide whether a collection uses likes or votes. They work the same way.
The number of likes or votes also shows on each idea in the collection, so you can see which ideas are popular.
Find the most popular ideas
- Open the collection.
- Click Filter.
- Under Sort by, choose Most reactions.
Why can’t I like or vote?
| What you see | Why |
|---|---|
| No like or vote button, and no counts on the ideas | The collection managers have turned reactions off for this collection. |
| The button is there but grey | Reactions are turned off for the step the idea is in now (or for the Inbox). They may be allowed again when the idea moves on. |
| Nothing happens and you see Failed to save your reaction | Your reaction could not be saved. Try again in a moment. |
Guests don’t see the like or vote button at all.
Steps are the stages an idea moves through after it is submitted, such as review or testing. Collection managers choose for each step, and for the Inbox, whether people can react to ideas in it.
