Add Hives.co as an app and it sits in the Teams sidebar. People submit ideas and feedback without leaving Teams, look through what colleagues have sent in, and follow an idea through the workflow. The team decides in Hives, and the person who suggested it can see what happened.

Hives.co sits in the Teams app sidebar. Open it to submit an idea or check on one, and you are still in Teams afterwards.
A link in a channel
Post a collection's link in a channel. People open it and submit from there, with no company account needed.
A QR code or a phone
For the people who are not in Teams all day: a QR code on the wall, the mobile app or any browser.
Hives itself
Where the team reviews ideas and makes the decisions. It is a web app, so there is nothing to deploy.
How it works
Ideas come in through Teams. Decisions get made in Hives.
Idea programmes tend to lose people at the same moment: when taking part means going somewhere else. With Hives.co added to Teams, somewhere else is already in the sidebar, next to the chats and channels people have open all day.
Adding it is four steps in Teams: open Apps, search for Hives.co, select it, click Add. It works on every paid Teams plan.

One link in a channel reaches everyone in it.
Post a collection's link in a Teams channel and people submit from it, at a desk or on a phone. Nobody needs a company account to take part.
Reach
Not everyone has a Teams licence. Most people have a phone.
The people on the floor, in the store or on the night shift take part with a QR code, the mobile app or a browser, without a company account. Their ideas land in the same collection as the ones from Teams.

See what came in, and what happened to yours.
From the sidebar, people look through what colleagues have submitted and follow any idea through the workflow, their own included. The person who suggested something can see which step it is in without asking anyone.
Decide
The decisions happen in Hives, not in the thread.
Reviewing, prioritising and deciding take place in the Hives workflow, the same one whichever way an idea came in. Teams is the way in. The collection, the workflow and the record of what was decided stay in one place.

Listed in the Teams store
Hives.co is listed in the Microsoft Teams store and on AppSource, app ID WA200006670. It works on every paid Teams plan. The free version of Teams does not support apps.
Microsoft single sign-on
Microsoft SSO is included on every plan, so people sign in with the account they already have and access ends when that account does. Enterprise plans add SAML.
Name and email, stored in Germany
In its App Compliance answers to Microsoft (August 2024), Hives states that the Teams app processes name and email address, that this data is stored in Germany, and that it is kept for less than 60 days after an account is terminated.
What else Hives told Microsoft
The same answers cover TLS, annual penetration testing, a documented disaster recovery plan, established data access management, and reporting data breaches within 72 hours. They are the answers Hives gave Microsoft, not an independent certification.
Nothing to deploy
Hives is a web app. IT reviews access and identity rather than running a rollout.

What data does the Teams app process?
Name and email address. That is what Hives listed in its App Compliance answers to Microsoft, last updated in August 2024. The same answers state that the data is kept for less than 60 days after an account is terminated.
Where is the data from the Teams app stored?
In Germany, according to the App Compliance answers Hives gave Microsoft. Hives customer data is hosted in the EU by default.
Do contributors need a company account or company email?
No. People can submit from a link in a Teams channel, a QR code, the mobile app or a browser without a company account or company email address. People who do have a company Microsoft account can use Microsoft single sign-on, which is included on every plan.
How do we install it?
In Microsoft Teams, open Apps, search for Hives.co, select it and click Add. The help article has the same steps and the requirements.
